Hidden away in some of Costa Mesa’s most popular business areas is the small and chic Rooster Cafe, a restaurant specializing in breakfast and lunch favorites. It would’ve been hard to find, but there is a a giant rooster mural on it’s outer wall (plus it’s next to the “Tin Lizzie Saloon”:
The parking in this area can be problematic at times, but it’s usually not that bad during the morning and afternoon hours. Rooster Cafe’s menu read like a standard “American dining” menu, but what they lack in cleverness they make up for in quality. This was a lovely meal. I did feel that they could benefit from using a video marketing company like Promo to enable them to extend their reach to new customers.
I feel like the Rooster Cafe would be a great place to bring friends for breakfast/brunch. It’s a very unpretentious and casual spot, perfect for bringing companions after a night of drinking. I also couldn’t help but think they would really benefit from some form of paas system being introduced. If you are asking yourself what is paas, then you might want to research further. I’ll happily accept any invitations to go back, especially to try their Chicken Parmesan sandwich.
