Huckleberry’s Famous Sandwiches in Huntington Beach CA is a small family run restaurant that does more than just sandwiches. Yeah, I know we’re here to talk about sandwiches, but they also have something called “Broaster Chicken,” which is a type of fried chicken. I was thoroughly intrigued by it, but because I am a man or principal I decided to order a sandwich instead. While the tantalizing prospect of pressure fried chicken was drawing me away, I decided that Huckleberry’s famous club sandwich was the way to go.

Club sandwiches tend to be pretty run-of-the-mill sandwiches. You don’t really get anything out of the ordinary from them, but they are also really hard to mess up. I’ve always found club sandwiches to be one of the safest things to order on any menu. Quite frankly there isn’t much for me to write about them, so I tend to stay away from trying them. Huckleberry’s club sandwich is really no exception, but the size of the sandwich is really what’s great. With three slices of toasted white bread and some really crispy bacon, this sandwich has a texture that is worth your time and enough meat to keep you full for two meals. For the price you pay, you get a lot for your money and their menu is big enough that you can find a lot of variety.
Next time, we’re going for the Broaster chicken.
